Who is The Teacher Self-Care Conference geared towards?

The Teacher Self-Care Conference is for teachers, administrators, instructional coaches, and other support individuals looking to improve their classroom experience and/or fulfill their “teaching tank”. We have purposefully designed this conference to be intimate and will cap attendance at 250 attendees.

How much does it cost to attend?

We believe our conference is one that’s unparalleled to any other national conference. To see prices, please click on one of our one-day and annual conferences!  Attendees are responsible for paying for their hotel, travel and some dinners. If you need to submit a purchase order from a school, please send us an email at info@teacherselfcare.org.

Where and when is it?

For our 2019-2020 school year, we plan to hold one-day institutes on October 19, 2019, in Philadelphia, PA; January 25, 2020 in Houston, TX; April 4, 2020, in St. Louis, MO, and Atlanta Georgia for our Annual event on June 25, 26, 27, 2020.

How do I book my hotel room?

To make sure all of our attendees have hotel space, as soon as you register, hotel information will be sent to you. Please tell them that you’re here for the Teacher Self-Care Conference for your promotional rate.

Who will be speaking?

Unlike other conferences, the speakers at this conference are all teachers (current or former) who are bringing top-notch workshops that will speak to what you need to “fill your teacher tank”.

What’s included in my ticket?

Your Teacher Self-Care Conference ticket gets you access to either one-day institutes or our annual three-day event full of top-level sessions and intensive training,  lunch, snacks and drinks, one-on-one time with your colleagues from around the country, and most important of all, hugs (or handshakes) from The Educator’s Room team! You’ll also get tons of tools, reading material, and information specific to your needs and a swag bag full of fun goodies!

Can I sell/transfer my ticket?

We know last minute things come up! While we don’t offer refunds, we do offer transfers.  If for some reason you won’t be able to attend The Teacher Self-Care Conference, please let The Educator’s Room team know ASAP at info@teacherselfcare.org.

Are refunds available?

Since The Educator’s Room is providing tickets for a deep discount, refunds are not available.

What airport should I fly into?

It depends on the city that we’re having our event; however, we’ve strategically planned our conference via a  quick Uber, train, or cab ride and you’re there.

Will I actually have fun at this conference?

Fun is literally our middle name! When we started to plan this event, we were adamant about two things- the price of the ticket had to be affordable AND we had to scratch all regular programming and make this event FUN. So from the moment you get to our host cities and attend our  Mixer, to our early morning shuffle dance, our engaging Keynote Speakers/workshops, our Saturday night dance party/Awards program, we’re redefining what it means to have FUN.

Why is there an awards program at the conference?

A critical (missing) part of Self-Care is the need for us to honor ourselves and the work that we do! So Saturday night, we’re honoring 10 teachers from around the country and their stories of resilience, love, and self-discovery in this teacher life. This event is optional and everyone who buys an Early Bird ticket will go for free. Please plan accordingly because we’re bringing our dancing shoes to dance the night away.

Am I able to get CEU credits?

Just as other conferences do, we provide every individual who attends a certificate certifying the 16 hours of learning you will earn from our conference. We encourage every individual to check with their Teacher Licensing entity in their state to ensure that you have all the paperwork you need to get your credits.

What should I bring with me to the sessions?

This is a working event so please bring everything you need for success! Laptops, cameras, phones, notebooks are welcomed. We will have places set around the conference center for you to relax and collect your thoughts and record anything you need to make sure you don’t miss.

Do I have to attend all of the general sessions and tracks?

Nope, it’s okay if you don’t want to attend every single session. We will have plenty to keep you entertained — from enjoying pop-up shops to snacking on local food vendors we’ll have set up around the hotel!

I’m an introvert — will there be time for me to work solo and recharge?

Absolutely! The majority of Teacher Self-Care Conference works remote, so we’ll be right there with you trying to meet everyone but also get a little work done in our spare time too. We’ll have designated times for you to take a quick break, have a one-on-one session with friends, or take a quick nap.
